A Change of Plans, But the Ohana Swims On
The Rainbow ABC Meet scheduled for this Saturday is CANCELLED. The Rainbow Aquatics pool facility is being used as a community shelter through the weekend. While the meet will not be rescheduled at this time, we are proud to see a facility in our swimming community supporting those in need. Families who wish to help are encouraged to donate to the Hawaii Food Bank. This is a moment for our Ohana to show its strength and swim upstream together.

Twelve Hickam Hurricanes swimmers competed at the 2026 HI Hawaiian Swimming SCY Age Group Championships, held February 26 through March 1 at the Kāneʻohe District Park Pool. Together they logged over 60 individual swims against the state's top age-group talent.

Hurricanes Make a Splash at 2026 JAGS!
Twenty Hickam Hurricanes swimmers traveled to Kailua Aquatic Center for the 2026 HI Junior Age Group SCY Championship on March 7–8 — and they brought the energy! Across 84 individual swims, our athletes earned Championship, Invitational, and A qualifying standards while competing against top junior talent from across the state.

We know ohana can't always make it poolside — we're a long way from everywhere — but you can still make a huge impact from wherever you are. Every pledge helps fund equipment, meet travel, and keeping this team strong for our military kids. Show our swimmers they've got support no matter the distance.

The Hickam Hurricanes are a year-round USA Swimming competitive swim team based at the Camp Smith Training Pool. We serve military families and the surrounding community, offering programs for swimmers of all levels — from those still building water confidence to experienced competitors.
Our coaching staff meets each swimmer where they are and helps them grow with confidence, discipline, and a love for the sport. Whether your family just PCS'd to Hawaii or you've been here for years, you'll find a supportive team that understands military life.

All Levels Welcome — Whether your swimmer is just starting out in competitive swimming or already chasing time standards, we have a group that fits. We accept new swimmers year-round through our tryout process.
Built for Military Families — We understand PCS moves, deployments, and the unique challenges military kids face. No long-term contracts, no penalties for moving.
Year-Round Training — Five days a week, Monday through Friday, at the Camp Smith Training Pool.
Experienced Coaching — USA Swimming certified coaches with competitive swimming backgrounds who care about every athlete's growth.
Our Programs
We offer three training groups based on ability and experience. Each swimmer is placed through a tryout to ensure they're in the right environment to succeed.
Novice — Mon–Fri, 3:30–4:30 PM | $95/mo Building water confidence, foundational skills, and a love for swimming.
Age Group — Mon–Fri, 4:30–5:30 PM | $95/mo Refining strokes, building endurance, and developing race-ready consistency.
Junior / Senior — Mon–Fri, 5:00–7:00 PM | $110/mo Structured training for experienced swimmers pushing toward their potential.
A one-time registration fee of $100 per swimmer applies.
